WHY AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?
The most commonly asked question by our clients and brides is “What is airbrush makeup and is it better than regular makeup?”
Airbrush makeup was first used for film to apply makeup to large casts in a way that doesn’t cross contaminate. It allowed for quick applications as times wasn’t wasted disinfecting every brush and sponge between cast members.
Since then airbrush makeup has been a popular choice for film and television and recently over the years made it’s way into mainstream for our brides to access this type of makeup for their big day.
So what is airbrush makeup? Airbrush makeup is a special type of foundation that is fed through a airbrush gun or feed. It is attached to a compressor that pumps out air allowing the makeup to finely mist through and set on your face creating a ‘airbrushed’ or ‘photoshopped’ effect.
So why airbrush makeup? Airbrush makeup is lightweight, and provides a flawless finish that doesn’t look heavy like regular makeup which is why it’s so popular for HD photos and video. It also provides a much longer wear – approx. 18 hrs – and is sweat resistant, water resistant and requires minimal touch ups (some blotting sheets only)
It is also oil free, non-comedogenic (which means it doesn’t clog pores, and hypoallergenic.
These are just some of the reasons why our brides choose airbrush makeup. The last thing any bride wants to worry about is having to touch up throughout their day, and if their makeup will last through their tears, cause really how many brides don’t shed one tear on their special day? Give it a try for a special event or your trial so you can fall in love with this bride favorite makeup!
